Anyone know of a good jag mechanic in the toronto area.
I have a 1990 XJ6 that I want to restore.

Heh heh heh. "Restore" can mean so many things :-).
Perhaps in this case it means "restore the car to operable condition." Or, then again, it may mean "I'll leave it for 12 months. When I pick it up it better be indistinguishable from new in every respect."
What irritates me is a car advertised as "fully restored" when, really, it simply has a quickie paint job, the rugs shampooed, and new tires.

Aman. I do all my own work however I believe the guys I named are honest and well versed in Jaguars. I have never heard anything to the contrary anyway. They are located just off Bayview in Richmond Hill.

I don't know a specific Jag mechanic in Toronto, but besides my Jag, I drive a Morgan and there is a great Morgan club in the Toronto area. They have a web site www.gomog.com (Greater Ontario Morgan Owners Group)If you look at their web site, you may be able to contact them and find someone reliable for your Jag work.I am sure they will be helpful and answer your question. _

I remember someone trying to sell a reverse convertable (lots of roof but no floor boards) as " ... mechanically sound". I guess floor boards are cosmetic.
