Service manual wanted-94 XJ6
Recently acquired 1995 SJ6. Needs brakes, and, of course, I do my own work-but the mechanics say "they're different." Okay, experts, what's up with an XJ6 brake job?
Front brakes were easy to do,but the rear hubs and rotors swivel out from top to bottom. They're hinged on a machined bolt on the bottom and if you are doing a complete brake job check these bolts on both sides of the rear. They move but bon't have grease fittings. I drilled out for grease fittings there because if they wear out they make the same clunking sound as a U-joint.Took me awhile to figure that one out. Not an impossible project by any means...Ed
