Ok, it seems i had a small mouse nest under my cruse control unit in my engine bay. So needless to say some stuff got eaten. Now the main thing is this. I have a lucas ignition, the wire that runs to the distributer has been chewed. the chewed from the connector to the distributer, they chewed the wirers flush up to the distributer. Now a blue connector is were the wirers run to on the dist. that is still there, but no wire is left. do i need a new distributer or what? does the blue connector come off the distributer? I don't want to pull on it at break it off if it can be saved.

The wires attach to the pick up assy, it should be easy enough to change, but perhaps you should take it to a mechanic! Jaguar affectionado and etc.
