Greetings all,

New guy here, but not new to my E. Had it since 1993. I'm looking to replace the rear window seal on the hatch of my FHC. It's dried out and cracking, and doesn't hold the chrome trim well.

I bought the new seal, and the rope-cord, but other than being told "use soap on the cord", I don't have any instructions on how to change it.

I don't want to break the window.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Scott,
Locate the auto glass shop in your area that does all the vintage, hot rods, and classics; have them do it. They should charge around $100.00. That beats the possiblitiy of breaking the glass, ruining the seal, or chipping your hatch paint. These guys have the tools and the knowledge to do the job right in less than an hour. If the car is not drivable they may come to you.
