When I appy pressure to brake pedal the dash light, for running lights, lights up. Any idea what this means?

Hi Martin,

I beleive the light comes on during a routine check of the lighting status; when all is deemed to be in working order the light goes out. At least it works this way in my XJ-S so am assuming it was carried forth to your '95, too.

That is correct. Along the same question; Once I turn on my headlights, the same light comes on for about 30 seconds or so, then goes off. Is that normal.

One or more of your brake lights is not working. Have someone step on the brake pedal while you check out the brake lights.
