The "real" master key has a small flashlight built into the fob. It activates when you push the Jaguar logo button. The battery/flashlight/button mechanism snaps out of the fob and can be replaced when the battery is dead. While the local dealership probably has these, are there any other sources? What is the part # ?

XJS Key Battery/Flashlight
What is the "trick" to opening the the battery container itself- do you twist or pry or something else? Do not want to damage it

XJS Key Battery/Flashlight
I found this part, #BCC9959, at:
http://www.motorcarsltd.com/item.wws?mfr=BRITISH&sku=IN100798
$36.03
Several other sources told me this part is obsolete.

Radio Shack carries the 625 battery for $5.99. Press the Jaguar rectangle on the back of the key, and the flashlight assembly will slide out. The assembly is pressed together. I pressed a small screwdriver on one of the black plastic triangular edges at the lightbulb end. The assembly slowly spread apart. It's easy to scrape up the housing. It's a pretty feeble light. May not be worth the trouble . . .
