How big of job is changing the fuel filter in a 1995 XJS Convertible? I understand it is located behind the spare tire in the trunk. Also, where should I order the parts required?
Thanks,
Martin

My 94 has the fuel filter in the left front wheel well. It is behind a plastic panel. It is not really hard to change it. A day before you do the job, spray the fittings with PB Blaster, or other penetrating oil, NOT WD40. Release the fuel pressure. Take two wrenches, use one to hold the filter and the other on the line fitting. It should go easily. If the filter is in the trunk as on the earlier cars, follow the same procedure.
The only thing to be aware of is that many aftermarket filters have a slightly smaller diameter than the factory. You may need to build it up with duct tape so it won't rattle.
