I've been looking ALL over the internet and making calls, but cannot find any sort of 'blue book' value for a 1987 XJSC Cabriolet with 58,000 miles, hard, convertible and T-tops. I'm the 2nd owner and need to sell, but where do I find out what it's worth...then, where do I go to sell it?
Thanks in advance,
Cathy in NC

Thank you all for your help.
I've been told that this car is VERY SPECIAL and because it originally sold in Australia it is only one of 7 on earth! Could this be true? If perhaps, how can I verify or get further info?

For what it is worth, at the recent Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale a 1991 Collector convertible was auctioned for $9900. I have included the auction site link below.

I just bought an 87 XJ-SC Black w/Tan interior. I paid $7000. It had 73k miles. The car was in pristine condition. Hope that helps.

Cathy,
Kelly Blue Book list your car with the 58,000 miles as follows: Private party pricing, Excellent $4850, Good $4450, Fair $3950. The local Jag dealer in Charlotte just sold a tired, body damaged 1988 H&E convertible for $4600 to a wholesaler. I own an XJSC and watch Ebay auctions on XJSCs that actually sold and most XJSC V12's that look good in pictures go for $7500 to $9500. Very few and I mean very few go for more.

Doug is right, list it on the JCNA Web site. If you have trouble uploading a photo send it to me and I will upload for you. Also, if you are near Charlotte there is another opportunity. Contact me at jagunut1ataol.com and I give the details.

Personally I don't think KBB has much significance with respect to older Jags.

Since your is a Cabriolet it might well be worth more than a standard coupe but condition is everything. Frankly "fair to good" older XJSs are about a dime a dozen...$3000-$5000. Exceptional examples my fetch much more if the right buyer comes along.

You can list your car for sale right here in the JCNA classified section.

Browse Ebay, AutoTrader.com, Craigslist, etc to get a feel for what the market is like.
