Well, I found the car that said 'take me home'. I bought an '83 coupe, British Racing green with a tan (excuse me, 'biscuit') interior. Runs/drives well with 62k miles, and has an almost immaculate interior and exterior. It has a couple of small electrical glitches (left power mirror and cruise don't work) that shouldn't be serious, and one potential problem; my temp gauge is intermittent. I've got a service manual on the way, but in the meantime can anyone tell me where to look for the sender? Any other tips for fixing this?

Thanks!
Steve

Congrats on an excellent choice! You are already having fun with it aren't you? ;-)

We need to know which engine you have when you ask for help.

If you have the 5.3L V12, then the sender is just behind the A-Bank (right bank) thermostat housing with a single wire attached to it. Try removing that wire and cleaning the contact surfaces.

Let us know if that helps.
