When I cold start the car, it starts up, but the idle is very low. I need to press a bit on the gas padel, then the idle will jump up to its normal state. I just had the car back from a full service where the mecanic says that is all it needs. Otherwise it runs ok, and have no other problems. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Thanks Art for your reply. I'm not much of a macanic, but if I'm not wrong the aux. air valve is at the engine's left hand side right behind the black box I think is called the air cleaner housing (1982 HE V12)? I guess I will not be doing any damage by taking it out and try to clean it with some WD40 or maybe break cleaner?? Thanks.

Hi Niels,
my sons car had the reverse problem, although I think your aux. air valve has stuck closed. Our car became normal again after some hi speed runs around the race track here, tune up I believe has nothing to do with it, just sticky valve. My race car is without the valve and starts at slow idle untill warm, Art
