I am new to the club. I have just purchased a 1976 XJ12C, fern Grey color, black interior with 51,000 miles. Runs & looks great!! Wire Wheels. My question is, did I pay too much for it? What is a fair market value?

I can't make the link work to see your pictures :-(

At any rate "fair market value" is whatever price is agreed upon by a willing seller and a willing buyer, neither being subject to any sort of duress or unusual influence.

I've seen 12Cs go for $2500 to $15000. If I had to throw out a number for a very nice but not perfect example I'd say $7500. That may be way off, who knows? Hard to say when so few of them change hands.

Afraid I'm not much help, but, hey, if you already own it, who cares ? The important thing is that you like it :-)
