Hi, I'm hopefully relocating from the UK to Franklin / Brentwood area of Tennessee with a view to opening a small Jaguar repair shop, as I originally served my time at a Jag Main agent in the 70s, I worked on all the old Jags of the 60s/70s, my question is, are there many places in and around the Nashville and surrounding area's where you can get work carried out by a competent Jaguar trained mechanic on this era of vehicles
Thanks Andrew

hi, in Nashville, 12th Ave. & Broadway (downtown): JD's British Cars, specializing in classics. Another smaller shop near on East Nashville. Both of them have been around for decades. There are other generic shops which can work on Jags but do not specialize in Jags. Jag dealer: Thoroughbred Motorcars, on Franklin Road, the owner is English, follow a straight line from Brentwood. I lived in Nashville for 20 years, not a lot of "business" there for Jags. Check the Music City Jaguar Club Newsletter (MCJC) in this site. I'm sure your new shop will be an asset to the area, but finding a place around Brentwood will not be inexpensive, Brentwood real estate costs a lot. (over-rated, over-priced). I got bored in Nashville, moved to Central Florida last year, a lot more "life" over here.
No night life in Nashville, but high-taxes, high restaurant food prices, one of the highest Sales Tax in the nation, 9.25%. Property Taxes in Williamson County are not low by any standard. Davidson County is out of control when it comes to taxes, lot of inept politicians, lot of religious fanatics infiltrated in government legislating their religion into people's lives, imagine that! that's deep-rooted in their culture. Sorry to pop your bubble, but that's Tennessee. Florida is betta.

Good luck!
