60 CLOCK BATTERY?
I have a '68 OTS and found a battery at Radio Shack. Didn't last very long though. Ray Suchta

60 CLOCK BATTERY?
To my knowledge there is no replacement battery.
Find yourself a single AA or AAA battery holder with leads. Put a small ring crimp terminal on the red lead and a small female crimp quick disconnect (spade) on the black. Stick a small strip of velcro on the holder. Remove the original battery holder and use the screw for your ring terminal and put the quick disconnect on the clock spade. Stick the other half of the velcro nearby and put the new holder on.
As John says, a small 1.5V battery can be used to replace the original 1.35V mercury cell which is no longer available, assuming your clock is still functional. However, there is a problem with that solution, since the clock speed is sensitive to battery voltage. The original mercury cell had a very constant voltage over the lifetime of the battery, but an alkaline battery does not. Because of this your clock will start out running fast with a fresh battery putting out around 1.6 Volts, and slow down as the battery ages.
However, I think it would be better to have a running clock, even if it doesn't keep accurate time. And if you find that your clock is broken, and want an accurate, running clock, then see my website.
