Hey folks,
I'm beginning to suspect the crankshaft timing sensor in my intermittent starting problems. Can someone guide me on what the failure mode for this is and what symptoms it would exhibit are?
I think I recall that they get flaky over time and don't handle thermal cycling well at all.
Any information is appreciated.

Crankshaft Timing Sensor Failure Mode
Thanks! Turns out it's the EGR valve acting up.
Actually, I may as well get a hold of your spare sensor Steve.

The car was traded in at 50k miles because of a failing CPS. It's getting up to 90k now. Thanks.
