Help! I have a 95 XJS 6 cy. convertable. The dim lights do not work at all. When I turn the light switch on for Dim (normal) lights only the parking lights come on. Then if I hit (engage) the toggle lever for brights the bright lights come on. So I am having to drive at night with only the bright lights working. The bulbs are fine and I have heard all kinds of guesses as to what is the matter, with the most being the dimmer switch is bad. So does anyone venture a guess what is the problem is and where to obtain the part without costing an arm and a leg? Thank you very much for your assistance.

R.E., Hi, my 95 XJS had basically the same problem, except my dim lights only would work. I could flash the high beams, but they would only stay on bright, maybe once out of a hundred tries. Turns out to be the headlight logic modual. Square black plastic box on the drivers side inside fender. Last of a row of relays, etc. Inside is two copper coils, and one had a very tiny wire that had come unattached. To small, for me anyway, to try to resolder. Jaguar DOES NOT still supply this part. I did a search at every Jag parts house, and individuals parting out Jaguars. I did get a couple replys, after I located a used one at one of the parts houses that also has doner cars. Hopefully this will help, at least get you in the ballpark. Keith.
