My 1964 roadster had original engine heat shields when we took it apart and the new replacements fit fine. However when I was looking through the XKs catalog I saw some what may be lower shields that I did not have on my car. Ordered them thinking they might belong on my 1964 but cannot figure out if they should be there, and if so, how they fit. Looks like they might go around the torsion bars, but that is just a guess.
Am I supposed to have them ? Anybody have a pic to share on how they mount ?

Curtis if they are 30 inches long or so they are torsion bar shields but they did not get added to the E Type until much later. If needed I can tell you when exactly but my memory is clear enough to know it was not near 64. Good luck
