What is the horsepower on a 69 xke with twin carbs, I have seen 171 or 245

171 must be the American figure. 245 is the British measurement.
The "British Measurement" includes a rather heavy thumb on the scale. A stock tricarb E-type motor would turn about 180-190 HP at the flywheel, the twin carb version gives up at least ten HP.
