Ebay item number 370264001746 is a Shelley Jack the seller identifies as the early E-Type Bottle Jack. It looks like the jack shown on pages 90 and 91 of the "Dr. Haddock E-Type Restoration Guide" and I have the same jack but it didn't come with my car. The seller includes casting numbers which I can't find identified in any books. My OTS was built July of 61. Does anybody have a survivor car that would verify this being the model used in early cars? Thanks

Victor, You are correct that the changein jacks occured after the heel wells were added. The vin numbers when these changes took place are listed in the S1E-Type Judge's Guide available under Concours on this web site.

I have the same jack for my OTS which was built in October 1961, and from what I know, that is the correct jack for the early E-types. Later vehicles came with a scissor-type jack, but I don't know exactly when the changeover occurred - perhaps after the flat floor models?.
