Hello everyone, I am looking at a 54 xk 120, it has 2 sets of wheels, steel with hubcaps and blue wire wheels. Also it has 2 sets of spats, one set has cut outs for the spinners for the wire wheels. I can't find any pictures of a car with that set up or any information on them either. Any information would be
greatly appreciated.

Stuart spats were one of the highest selling replacement parts back then--they were easily and often damaged and the replacements would have no stamping. In any case none were cut out for spinners.

Karl since you posted this on the concours forum I will answer this way. While there were period modifications to spats the 120 came (after the switch from the ENV axle) with either steel wheels and spats or wire wheels and no spats. There were companies then (as now) that offered wire wheel adaptors but these required either body work to add the trim part that replaced the spat gap on the body work or as in the case of this car the spats were modified. There are several well traveled pictures of modified spat cars and if needed I will suggest where you may see them but there will be several styles as it was a modification and there was no patern or template. Further you say the wheels are blue. Is the car blue? That would be possibly correct for a drop or fixed head car if it matches the body. While a OTS car could have been ordered with body matching wheels it was very unusual and silver paint or chrome was usual. Hope this helps.
