Would anyone have a paint color code or some reference the the "correct" silver for the series 1 headlamp bucket? I realize there may be some variation here, and I don't believe it's a Hammertone finish, but any input would be appreciated.

Dave "satin" today was not "satin" in the period. The buckets were as "glossy" as the paint finish on the exterior of the car. No cars then were "wet" looking (hotrods and show cars excepted) as paint was very different then. Best of luck!

Thanks for the responses guys, my sense is the paint finish is more satin, but will check a few good examples around here just to make sure. The color is more the issue right now.
Appreciate the help.

David ICI (pronounced ICKY) is/ was a paint company in England/ but solh in NA. As far as the finish the reason the buckets were changed from the very first few cars (body color) was for better light reflection so yes they were gloss.

Thanks, Alan
My FHC is a '66 also. Is the "ICI" in your paint code something that any body shop or paint supplier would recognise, I'm not familiar with the term.
Additionally, is the finish gloss, statin, or flat? My car had the original paint on the buckets (since covered up by an attempted color match, hence this thread) and it appeared not gloss, this seems to be confirmed by most restorations I've seen. Can you confirm?
