No problem Scott. Nothing wrong with a new antenna unless a little saucer unfolds at the tip and starts whirling around....I think judges would have a problem with that! But if it's a driver, then it shouldn't matter.

Those things are not around. I went on the web to shops in the UK. Oh well, I
opted for a new antenna, mine is a little grungy, as it comes with the grommet!
Car's in body and paint now and should be done just in time to drive home on
sloppy, salty roads.

I doubt it. If your antenna base is round, try to find a cheapie round manual antenna of the same diameter and use the rubber piece from that.
