Went to look at a 1995 XJS today with a six cylinder.

Paint is oxidized, driver's seat is showing it's age, headliner looks good, 132,000 miles, good looking tires, not a bad looking car other than the paint and the seat(s).

Just curious, what would a car like this go for?

Thanks for your help.

Wait a minute! is this a coupe or convertible? all of my comments referred to a convertible, generally, a coupe is a much lower priced car

Prices are difficult to pin down, a rough car can be found for 4 to 5 k and really good ones in the high teens. A good paint job is likely to cost around $5000, interior another couple more. As for the mileage it depends upon how well it has been serviced. but, much to the surprise of many sceptics, me included, it is a surprisingly good motor, with many having done well over 200,000 This car clearly has not had the best of attenion you might look for one that has! There are some in this site in the classified section

Dont know about the price but I have a 96 XJ6 which I think has the same engine Now has 189000 and the only problem I had was a bad coil pack that was replaced with a used coil pack. I was looking for a XJS 6 cylinder but ended up with a 95 XJS 12 cylinder???????
