This is my wife's car. She got it in September of 2009. I need to know the location of the paint code and what color this is. Thank you for any help!

Don't mind me...........I must have been drinking some strong stuff.

Rose Bronze is 1995-96, completely spaced the post says 1990. And your email address is right there, too!

Note on the way!

The paint code for this car is "AGA", which the paint code sites I've checked calls "Satin Beige". Looks lighter than what's on this car. The trim code is " AFW", which one site calls "Barley".

Thanks, Steven!
My e-mail address is imperialbuckyataol.com.
I have found a couple online sites where I can get tops, but I'm not sure which one I need, and there are several different types and prices involved.
E-mail me if you like, and let me know where your shop is located.
Thanks,
Keith

Keith,

Your car is a somewhat rare Rose Bronze color, and I think the top is Burgundy, hard to tell from the picture. If it is Burgundy, beware the fact that finding that color will be difficult. If you find someone that will custom make one it will be salty.
It probably isn't much help to you, but if you find an acceptable top, it may be possible for me to install it at the dealership. I still have the tools I collected and made up to replace those tops when the cars were current. It is time consuming, and the rear glass is at risk because it has to be cut out and reused. The glass could break during removal, but I only think that happened once on me. That also requires all new seals etc. surrounding the glass.

If you think I can help, give me an email address to contact you. I can also be contacted here or through George Camp, he knows how to reach me.

Cheers,

I have not been able to drive the XJS much, due to the fact that I can't drive it with the top up. Pretty much rules out cloudy days!! I still need info on any shops around Nashville, Tennessee that will put a new top on this car. Thanks!

After enjoying this ride for three and a half years, it has become necessary to replace the top. Big split running across the front section, from door to door!!! I need info on a shop in the Nashville, Tennessee area, or the northern Alabama area, such as Huntsville or Decatur, etc. Also, I need info on the proper top and back glass needed, and where to get it. I showed the car to one very good upholsterer today, but he declined, having never fitted a top on an XJS before. Any advice will be appreciated!!!
