Can anyone give me any information on how the body is mounted to the frame? The parts manual does not have an illustration showing how the various spacers and pads and shims are arranged. The car that I am restoring has had the body removed and bolted back on hard to the frame with no felts, spacers, or pads. I would guess that the body mountings are very similar on the XK120 and XK140. Any guidance that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Ed you are correct the parts manual does not show the mounts but there is a full description of parts in Vol 2 of the parts manual (J29/2). I am unsure of what car you have but for example for an open car with standard transmission page 59 gives a one page list of all parts and where they are used. Do not be surprised that some parts are marked for a qty. of (as required) for that is exactly where you are headed. Each of the dirrerent body styles have a list but they are very much alike if not exactly (have not checked). Several of the usuals sell kits that possibly have a drawing. Good luck.
