Oh Boy, another question,
I dont have the original engine of my ser 2, OTS. The engine I have is a 4.2 which has the rpm generator on the passenger side cam. My car has an electronic techometer.
Does anyone have an idea as to how to connect up the tachnometer to my engine.
The little I know about this is that both are not compatible.
Can someone spread some light on this. What direction should I go?
Either, use the rpm generator and scrap my tachometer and replace with older compatible one, or scrap the rpm generator and wire up the existing tachometer.
Need help.

rpm generator - electronic tachometer
Mark is the wiring harness from a series 2? If so replace the generator with a blanking plate from a spares dealer and run the electronic tach.
George, i will have to check that. The harness is not in the car so it is a little harder to determine, but I recently obtained a ser 2 wiring diagram and will go thru it to make sure that the harness is in fact a series two. Using existing harness and tach is the easiest approach.
Thanks for your advice
Marco
