No, I have never driven Road Atlanta, only the brickyard and Laguna Seca. i did though do a cross Country rally in the seventies from laguna Niguel CA to Atlanta. After the event we got out the map and headed to Greenville for dinner where we had family, it looked like a 3 or 4 hour drive so we were able to stop enroute at a golf course. Unfortunately we had mistakenly headed for GV South Carolina, they lived in GV North Carolina! we did though make it for breakfast the following day. That is why I know Atlanta is NOT near ANY Coast, regards.

Bill, Atlanta is not right on the coast, but it is also not Memphis Tenn. So, I know
you know of the location. Anyway, I am glad it is Northeast of Atlanta, so when I
am traveling from North Carolina, I do not have to get on I-285. I have been to
Road Atlanta a few times, great track, where I was introduced to road racing with
with the Alanta Jaguar club. We called it the Walter Mitty Challenge. after a book
from an author named "Thurber" , which Martha Turner had read. Her husband,
Howard, had a lister Jaguar, and I took my old 1954 XK120 arround the track a
few times. If you have never participated, I encourage you to give it a try.
