I had excessive brake pedal travel, so I bled the brakes.
The problem still existed, I checked vacuum line hose clamps and retightened. The problem still exists. The brake pedal has some resistence with the engine off but when I start the engine the pedal immediately goes to the floor. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks

Chuck there is a valve in your bellows booster system (if your car is stock). It sounds like the valve has failed or has a bit of dirt in it--the booster is open to the atmosphere in the rear portion that sticks in the bulkhead. It also has a filter. Let us know what you find! Do you have a service manual? See the section on the booster or you can order an official manual here in the shoppe. Good luck.
