I have a Heritage certificate showing the original colors of my 1953 XK120 OTC to be:
- Exterior: Cream
- Interior: Red
- Hood: Fawn

QUESTIONS:
- For show purposes, is it important to have "original colors" that came on the car?
- What is meant by "Hood", is that the convertable top?

Thanks, Bob

Robert I have used kits from all the major suppliers. I was able to obtain the best prices with no loss in fit or finish from SNG Barratt. All of the suppliers have little quirks in their patterns due to the age of the templates (or generations) but their kits were always complete and when there was an issue it was corrected quickly.

Rich,

I had great results with BAS. The highest quality materials. They gave great service and were very attentive. My 100 point, 1954 XK120SE was JCNA national champion in class CO2 in 2000 and 2001 and I was class winner at Meadow Brook Hall Concours in 2001. BTW, I think biscuit would look great in your black car.

MY 1953 XK 120 M is now painted black and is ready for interior choices and installation. Any suggestions on competent capable people and where best to buy the entire interior kit .
Thanks,
Rich

Bob for "show" purposes (assuming you mean JCNA and not a local drive in show then an Original color would serve you best--as of now there is no requirement to produce a certificate so unless it is a non orig. color or color combination no one would know----yes the top is the hood!
