I inherited a 140 OTS, 1956, dual exhaust. Also a 1961 MKII 3.8 with red "C" head cast & C valve covers. I wonder if heads were switched by my father at some time. Both have H6 Carbs

A restoration specialist indicated I should switch heads with C to the 140 to make it an MC Roadster. Does this make economic sense? Would C head substantially increase value of 140? Both engines run well after carb rebuilds.
Thanks
Curt

Curt do the serial numbers match the engines? In other words if you think your father switched them they should match the other car. Putting a "C" head on the 140 if it did not come with a c head would be recognized and might add a bit of value but how much would be difficult to determine.
