I have replaced all four brakes with rebuilt. They work fine except after about 10 miles of driving the front brakes seize. If I pull over, after a few minutes they will release. Anybody know what's happening?

Pete,
No, I did not rebuild the servo slave cylinder or the master cylinder. It is hard to tell if there is any sticking at the back brakes, but I don't think so. After driving it, I pulled into the garage, turned the engine off and disconected the hose feeding the reservo holding tank and pressure released. Any help there?

Stew is right if it's one side front ,or both back brakes. If it's genuinely only the fronts as per your thread title and the rears are totally free, then it would have to be two pipes forming check valves simultaneously, which would be unusual.

If you used a very narrow or tight pipe clamp on the flex hoses when replacing your caliperss then it is quite possible you damaged both pipes in the operation. If you didn't clamp the flex lines and it is genuinely both brakes that are seizing to the same degree, then I think the odds are very high against a fluke simultaneous failure of two idependent components.

on the other hand, if it is the reaction valve piston sticking, you would expect some rear brake stiffness too, though not as bad as the fronts. Did you rebuild the master cylinder or servo slave cylinder as part of your brake refurb?

Probably the small reaction valve piston sticking in the end of the master cylinder . The o -ring often binds it on so you get the brakes applied by vacuum rather than the pedal. Try disconnecting the vacuum when it next seizes and i bet they immediately release.
