Greetings, and Merry Christmas!
I'm replacing leaky cam cover gaskets, my covers are the newer fluted, (ugly) version on my '71 4.2 OTS, not the old sexy polished smooth ones. I'm told slipping an o-ring on the studs will result in a better seal. Does the collective intelligence out there know the size description of the right o-ring?
And, what torque setting to tighten the covers? Thanks, as always.
Just to stir the embers, I'm also told the newer cam covers are more heat-dissipating than the pretty ones.

Bob the torque is 7 ft lbs. Proper new or anealed washers do the trick..
