Due to continual boiling of even race brake fluidon the road race adventures, I have built an uprated front brake system. The rotors are 13 inches in diameter and one and a quarter inches thick, and directionally vented. The calipers are alluminium JFZ four piston design with two inch pistons, I machined a caliper extension bracket made of 5/8 inch heat treated alluminium.I have since fitted Wilwood competition brake pads. I alsom fitted the calipers speed bleeders that enable easy bleeding, they are fitted with a spring loaded check valve, and also have a thread air blocking coating t stop air infiltration whilst the bleeder is open.A six inch aperture alongside the cool air intake filters. This was an interesting project and took many nights to complete. Hopefully this will solve the heat problem.
