1992 Series III V12

1992 Series III V12

This is one of the very last Series III cars made; it left the factory in June 1992, and was sold new in Vancouver in May, 1993, with the 1993 warranty. It is a V12 Vanden Plas, of which only 100 were produced for 1992; all of them were numbered by Jaguar Canada, and this is #92. It is listed by the factory as a Daimler Double Six, and even has a Daimler floor mat. I suspect that the Series III Jaguar parts had run out by the time this car was made. The colour is Black Cherry, a colour reserved to these last 100 (similar to Morroco Red), with Doeskin leather piped in Barley. This car has a mere 58,000 km on it (36,250 miles, ABS brakes, a Jaguar 6-CD changer in the boot and every refinement Jaguar could make to the beautiful Series III. The car has been fully restored and is ready for its first concours season.
And I have NO idea why a V12 car is "lumped" in a display section labelled "xj6".(!?)
