Deer and E-types Don't Mix!

Deer and E-types Don't Mix!

This is our beloved pale primrose 1972 E-type 2+2 after its fateful encounter with a deer in late-September, 2002. On the ride home from the Jaguar Touring Club concours in Tinicum Park, PA, just across the Delaware River from Frenchtown, NJ, a huge deer decided to commit suicide by feeding itself to a Jaguar. Driving along at 50 mph on a dark road at 9:30 p.m., there was nothing we could do. By the time we saw him, he was flying through the air on his way to deer-heaven. The worst part -- we were less than a mile from home! (In case you're wondering, that crease across the middle of the dent is the top edge of the radiator. This was one big deer. Thank God it didn't come straight back over the bonnet!)

The good news -- "Mellow Yellow" is being returned to her prior beauty. Even better, we hope, with a new bonnet and paint job.
