Steve Petry, or anyone with the knowledge.

Not always, but somewhat often now, at night, I turn on the key and start the car with the head light selector switch in the "Auto" position, the HD head lights do not come on, as they normally do. However, when I turn the selector to "On" I notice that the HD leveling sequence has gone through the leveling routine and the lights are positioned in the drive setting. The next time and maybe for quite awhile, they work fine.

I've checked the manual for a fuse or relay, but can-not find anything that mentions it.

What's up?----Thanks.

Steve-----

Thanks for the come back and the info.

Happened again last night and while sitting there, decided to tap the back side of the mirrow----lights came on.

Must be a problem in the circut board in the mirrow or loose wire. Will investigate further and post results, if any. Found out mirrows aren't cheap. :-)) My luck!

Most likely one of two things........
Lighting/Direction Indicator switch itself, or wires that go up the column to it. Next time you catch it acting up, try wiggling the turn signal stalk around slightly, see if you can make the lights come on. If not, try moving the column up/down and in/out with the switch. If that gets any action from the lights, there may be a break in one of the wires in the column harness.

Good luck!
