OK fellow enthusiasts - heres another question about XK 150 restoration.
My car has the multi-shaped rubber surrounding the windshield and following the edge to the bottom of both door sills. Rubber is correctly installed, but needs replacing, and the correct rubber piece is easily found at various suppliers.
But the tricky part is - apparently - the material welting that 'clips' on to this rubber. Current restorations seem to use the wrong material Im told, hence the clips holding the material welting to the rubber are not secure, and the welting pulls off the rubber lip easily. Some use silicone as a replacement adhesive.
Some tell me the original style welting is not available - or at least they have no source -
As a newbee to xk150 roadsters (Ive owned several 140 DHC, and etypes) this is a new problem for me! anyone have experience/source/comments? thank you!

Greg SNG Barratt sells the welt and rubber--but--it comes in two parts and has to be installed that way. The Orig. one piece part is NLS but I have had good success with what they provide.
