I am restoring a 1954 XK120 DHC. The master cylinder is mounted inside the frame on this LHD car, but would be mounted outside the frame on a RHD car. On my 1955 XK140 LHD car the master cylinder is mounted outside the frame. Is there any reason why I can't make a new bracket and put the master cylinder outside the frame and use a XK140 brake arm, pedal and stem?
Has anyone else done this? It allows the use of the 4 point motor support system of the XK140 znd a XK140 transmossion. This car will not be a concourse car.

David---why? There is a heat shield if that is what you are worried about. You said "restoring". Round these parts that does not MOD. I think you could make something work but it works just fine as stock if properly done.
