I have a 1987 XJS coupe with the TWR package. Distinctive features are the body mouldings including the spoiler on the trunklid; the centerline wheels; Jaguar Sport logo on the back; TWR steering wheel; quad exhaust pipes exiting through chrome rectangular extensions fitted in cutouts in the rear bumper. I have been unable to find anyone with experience in this model, or any factory information? Was this a purely cosmetic exercise, or did it involve drivetrain modifications?
Any information will be most gratefully received!
Ian

Ian when you say "factory" do you mean Jaguar? If so you might not find much. The official Jaguar/TWR relationship was a 50/50 arrangement with TWR taking care of literature etc. TWR had been modifying customers cars but it was not until 1988 that an "official" version was offered. Later The TWR XJ-S was marketed as the XJR-S. I am not sure how much searching you have done but there is a ton of accurate information on the web. What confuses the issue is that "kits" were offered by TWR and even Jaguar to make XJS cars into look alike TWR cars --some with a few of the upgrades and some simply cosmetic. JCNA holds the spec sheets on the XJR-S and has even made arrangements for owners to loan the ZYTEC diagnostic equipment that Jaguar NA maintains. As far as the pseudo cars it is a mixed bag of bits and parts in most cases. After your web search if there are any specific questions please write back.
