the battery runs down when the car sits for while in the garage-the battery power seems to "bleed" off for some reason - when the battery is charged, it runs just fine. any suggestions?

Thomas, does the battery go flat in a couple days? Couple weeks? Couple months?

How old is the battery? Has it been professionally tested?

If it's an old-ish, weak-ish battery I'd expect it to go flat in a couple days or so.

If a new-ish battery, strong and healthy and robust, went flat in a matter of a few days then I'd start looking for a parastic draw.

Cheers
DD

Hello Thomas: I was told by my Jaguar mechanic that some of the security systems drew alot of energy while sitting for some time, so, I bought a charger and hooked it up when I knew the car was going to sit a spell, and just selected a trickle, problem solved. This was for my "96, yet I can leave my "94 for weeks, and it kicks right over! Both of them were/are 6cyl. Life is interesting. Frost in eastern NC this morning! Ali
