Hi XJ owners,
The hood on the passenger side won't latch down when the hood is dropped or pressed down? The driver side is fine, any ideas for how to adjust the passenger side?
What about replacing the engine air filter, where is that located and is it a common part that might be found in Autozone or the other retailers?
Any sources for a repair manual for this car?

Kim,
Don't take this the wrong way, but just from your question about the air filter, I would guess you are new to car repairs.
Two things, if the hood latch is not latching, your warning system should be sounding off telling you something is open. It won't tell you what, but just that something is ajar.
Next, the location of the filter should be in your owners manual.
Soooooo, if I were you, I would take my car to a dealer or foreign car repair shop and ask them to check the hood thing out and to show you were things are under the hood. Once you do that, you'll not only learn a few good things , but may realize that you should allow a mechanic to do your work.
