Doug et.al XJ6 mavens here is one for you. I have the pleasure of bringing a low milage relatively un-molested XJ6C back to life after too long in storage. The car is Green Sand with an olive interior so I too keep it in the garage. While the car is in great shape the side marker lamp gaskets looked like they were 300 years old. While removing the left rear lense a full set of keys fell out of the lense. They are rusty and the paper tag is in poor shape it is good enough to see it is a typical factory tag of the period just like the one on the cooling system etc. While I am familiar with the normal place keys were hidden have you seen this before? I checked the tech buls. and found the other places but not this one.

Hello George, the keys were hidden there by some previous owner. The only spare key provided by the factory was screwed onto the inner, left front wing, diagonal brace bracket, they had a brown fibre material identity tab held by a closed ring. Jaguar affectionado and etc.
