IÆm about to purchase used Æ04 Jaguar X-type 3.0 and I need some piece of advice from you, Jag owners. I used to drive Æ02 Subaru WRX and I just sold it. I love SubaruÆsÆ performance and reliability, but I hate its crappy interior. Now, IÆm looking to get more ôconsiderableö car, still all-wheel-drive, good handling and accelerating. So, I guess, X-type is good choice for that, whatÆd you say? So, IÆm trying to have as more info as possible about X-type before IÆll go to the dealership. I have read lot of reviews about this ôbaby-jagö, some of them are diametrically opposed. Some Jag owners describe it as a ôhunk of junkö with zero reliability record, some state that itÆs quite reliable car.
So, what the real X-type owners would say about the reliability of this car? May be some can display the repair history of their Xs? And $$$ spent on it?

2003 X Type 3.0
Purchased Jag in Feb. with 28,000 - alpine radio, special al. wheels, zenon headlights, etc. and the excellence warranty pkg, covering bumper to bumper to 100000 mi, til Oct 2008. I love the way the car handles. Have always had a luxury car, mostly Eldorados. Jag is super inside with the burl wood inserts and steering wheel, now with 33,000 miles, the only problem Ive had was a delamated chrome insert on the rear bumper. Jag replaced it.
mileage is 20 to 24MPH. I am pleased overall.
