Trying to understand the wiring diagram for a 67 roadster (1E13###) as it pertains to the ÔÇ£Hazard Warning SystemÔÇØ. Terminals 5 and 6 are closed when the Hazard Switch is off, open when the switch is on. The green leads connected to 5 and 6 go to the same general area connected to unexplained blocks and they both appear to be live no matter the position of the Hazard Switch. What is going on? My new wire harness did not include wiring for the Hazard Warning System. I will have to make it up.

On later models, the function of terminals 5 and 6 is clear. When the ignition is on, they supply power to the turn signal flasher when the Hazard Switch is off.

Miklos your car was wired (if a US model) with the Lucas add on hazard flashers. If you go to the MK2 service manual or see the tech bulletin covering them it will reveal all. If you have some other system you will need to trouble shoot it. Your NEW system is wired for the Lucas switch but you may need to change the single bullet connectors to doubles.
