I have a 64 roadster completely apart, painted and ready to
go back together. Most of the wiring harness is in fantastic condition and in fact this was a 12,000 mile car when we started. However the woven covering or wrapping around the harness just on the engine side of the firewall is broken and frayed in two spots, one all the way around.
Does anyone know of a way to repair this, alternate covering that would look right, have any ideas other than complete replacement to recommend??????
It's a cosmetic issue only and this car will not be concoured, but will be nicer than many which are, so this area will be noticeable. Any help and ideas appreciated.

I noticed that this hadn't been answered yet.
Try Rhode Island Wiring. They will re-loom as much, or all of a wiring harness, and they will do it with the correct colour and number of "tracers" on the loom as well. I had them do the main harness, and half of the instrument harness for my 1963 FHC; very well done.
They charge by the foot for the re-looming.
