I had to have the windshield replaced on my 1997 Jaguar XK8 convertible. Now I have wind noise not noticed before and seems to centered at the top of the windshield. It's going back to the installer in the morning. Any input to solve this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

Well, my input your glass guy is not gonna like. He needs to take it back out, remove ALL the original urethane, chemically clean body aperture correctly, and bed the glass properly with fresh urethane. They always try to cut the glass out and leave a 1/4" to 3/8" tall strip of the adhesive on the body, then attach the glass with a thin bead of new urethane on top of the old. Saves time and urethane. Unfortunately cutting the old bond never leaves an even thickness of the old stuff on the body, consequently the reseal on the new glass is problematic at best.
So, the only way to be sure you won't have future trouble is to make him do it right, and in my experience, they don't like that.

My two cents............. Good luck!
