WHERE IS THE VIN

Hi,

Where do you find the VIN on a 1948 Jaguar?

A friend called me about a friend of hers that was clearing some land in West Texas to build a house and they found a car on the property that was covered up. She says the inspection sticker (dated 1987) out of California shows that the vehicle was built in 1948. There are no license plates on the car. It's some kind of roadster.

They are trying to find where the VIN is so they can attempt to contact whoever owned it. Anyone know where it might be located. She said they found a number on the car somwhere and it was "F7505".

I told her that I'd find some forum for Jaguars and see if anyone can help out. So, here I am:)
