I just bought a vintage Jaguar and need to know what model it is exactly so I can start searching for parts.
Here is the info I have;
3.4 liter engine
dual carbs
4 door
Rear wheel skirts
Manual trans
VIN:5940313
The title has the model as "MTS"

What are some good websites for researching parts? The cars interior was set on fire from a "passionate divorce" situation. I will need most of the wood trim, dash board and dash wiring, as well as head liner, steering wheel maybe colum, dash switches, guage glass, front wind shield.

All input will be greatly appreciated.

Steve using those numbers only it should be a 2.4l saloon. You said it had a 3.4l motor but the head and engine number should match which they do not. Problem is you state the side window frames are chrome which would sound like a MK2. Steve be cautious as from what you have given us it sounds like switched data plates or some other problem. A Mk2 vin should be 150001/175001 100001/125001 200001/210001 good luck. George Camp

Steve you will need to either post a picture or clean the data plate and provide a better number. Your vin as posted has too many digits and is missing a prefix such as IJ. Based on your information and partial vin I would guess it is a 340 but only because of the 5 in the vin. Give us a better set of numbers and we will nail it down. George Camp
