I posted in response to a misleading bit of information (unintentional, I believe) posted by Art Dickenson after sending Art and Pascal a note asking for it to either be clarified or deleted.
No word from Art as yet. Pascal deferred to it being Art's post. Not unreasonable of Pascal, though it leaves the item hanging.
This has prompted me to break my long JCNA forum silence, which was partly prompted by an offensive and mean-spirited post made by a member of the management of this web site (most emphatically NOT Pascal, I may note) that remains associated with it. That post was never removed and only recently fell off the list of publicly accessible forum posts.
My questions for those that read this are thus:
1. What rights should the SUBJECT of a post have here, particular if misleading information is posted or if the post is mean spirited?
2. How the heck do I get something corrected such as the post where Art tossed a grenade over the fence and then disappears? It's not clear that Pascal's answer to me about it being Art's post was wrong, but how WOULD people recommend he proceed?
3. Should JCNA director directorship enter into this in any way? Keep in mind that within JCNA, directors are "public figures" (well, sort of) for which libel standards are more lenient.
Clearly, the most valuable input here would be from those NOT associated with this website because I know the management here has discussed this amongst themselves in the past.
Just in case there is any doubt out there - I AM NOT the male NW director referred to in Art Dickenson's post - the incident occurred before I ran for director.

Steve
Luckily, nearly all the discussions on the JCNA have remained civil and flame free and while members may disagree it normally doens't excalate out of control.
If a thread was to get out of hand and turn into personal attacks, it would be deleted.
I indeed replied to you and CC Art asking him to clarify that you were not the person he referred to in his previous post. that was wednesday morning and while email transmissions are nearly immediate, some do not check their email everyday and it seemed reasonable to wait a little bit for the clarification to come.
i'm glad everything is cleared up now and hope all can get back to more important issues; I believe this is what members want to read about.

Re.: What to do about misleading or incorrect information on this forum?
PS to main post: Please post rather than replying via email. This email account was set up specifically to avoid getting spam referred to my normal email via the JCNA site and I do not plan to check it. FWIW, and to their credit, the JCNA website management takes the problem of spam attacks seriously and has tried to avoid them. I just happen to have concluded that there is ONE Pascal and thousands of different approaches spammers take.
Steve,
you need to learn to relax a little more, and regarding SPAM, I believe that is an English delicasy, to be enjoyed either alone , with an egg , with some chips, or in the Monty Python scene, Triple Spam, which do you prefer.
