water leaking from inside vents - 86 xj6 series III

I have recently experienced water leaking from inside vents , when running air - I assume there is a blockage or maybe system requires to be flushed ?

I have no problems with air cooling or heating

If you cant get the car in the air take off the leg level vents and remove the trim, look toward the rear and you will see the black drain tubes, remove them from the top end and clear them out carefully with a thin wire.

Check the AC Drains on either side of the tunnel underneath the car. use a small wire to unclog the drains.

I suspect the drain tubes are clogged. If you can get the car safely elevated, this is an easy fix.

Under the car, on either side of the transmission tunnel, you see the drain tubes protruding from the floorboards. Using a straightened coat-hanger, probe into the tubes...gently. Keep your face clear of the area becuase you'll likely have a small flood of brackish water.

Forming a small hook at the end of the coat hanger will aid in puling out any gunk. Just be careful to avoid damaging or dislodging the tubes themselves.
