The plastic overflow pressure tank on my 2006 XJR was leaking at a seam and was replaced under warranty. However, the technician was not pleased with the original hose clamp during pressure testing and replaced the factory installed steel spring hose clamp with an appropriately sized worm gear clamp. The replacement clamp is trimmed to not extend beyond a 1/4 inch of the gear housing.
The question - will this result in a penalty for Driven Class? I am not eager to tinker with authorized Jaguar Dealer warranty work. The way I interpret the rules it seems as though there would be a penalty.

Hi Dwight
Nothing in the engine is judged in driven division. The hood and boot are not even opened for inspection. You are judged on the exterior and interior. Cleanliness and originality are all they are looking for. This is a great division for someone that likes to tinker under the hood.
Good Luck
